Hands on Training on Non-Targeted Metabolomics: Applications of "LC-MS & HPLC" in Plant Metabolomics

LC-MS/MS instrument separates chemical mixtures, identifies and quantifies particular compounds or members in its pathway and substrate of enzymes. This instrument is primarily used in metabolomics for metabolite profiling using either targeted or non-targeted approaches.
HPLC is used to separate and refine high-purity target compounds from a mixed solution after a synthetic reaction or from natural extracts. A preparative HPLC system is used to separate and collect high-purity compounds for subsequent evaluation, analysis, and processing in the shortest possible time. Photodiode Array (PDA) and Refractive Index Detectors (RID) are used for secondary metabolite analysis.
Target Participant
The participants (approximately 30 Nos.) include faculty/scientists and students of PG, PhD from TNAU and other institutions of national level from the Life Science stream. The registration fee is Rs. 3000/- + 18% GST per participant, totalling Rs. 3540/-.
Training Content
The programme intends to impart hands on training to the participants on applications of “LC-MS & HPLC” in plant metabolomics, sample preparation and analysis, and interpretation of analysed data etc.
